Fellows 2026

Dr. Sadhika Jagannathan is the 2026 adult palliative medicine fellow. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine (M.D. 2020). She is currently completing her Psychiatry residency at West Virginia University (WVU). Dr. Jagannathan brings robust teaching experience, including serving as a Clinical Preceptor at WVU and mentoring students as a Senior Partner at UMKC. She is also trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and has held various professional roles, such as Social Chair for the WVU Psychiatry Department and founder of the Animal Rescue Society at UMKC. She balances her clinical and academic pursuits with hobbies that include birding (participating in Cornell University’s bird counts) and enjoying the outdoors and training with her two dogs.

Dr. Mikalya Satchell is the 2026 pediatric palliative medicine fellow. She received her M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2023 and her undergraduate degrees from Truman State University (summa cum laude). Dr. Satchell is currently a resident at Weill Cornell Medical Center, where her work includes vital graduate research into pediatric palliative care ethics and quality improvement initiatives for childhood vaccinations. She has extensive advocacy experience, including co-founding the Rochester Human Rights Initiative for asylum-seekers and serving as a Patient Advocate for sexual assault survivors. In her free time, she is an avid reader who enjoys street and travel photography, hiking, and camping.
