Dissemination of an Evidence-Based Intervention for Caregivers of Hospice Cancer Patients

This project will complete preliminary work for a future R01 that will define and test an implementation strategy to provide online support groups for all caregivers of hospice cancer patients across the United States. It builds on work from a current clinical trial which found that participation in an online group significantly lowered both depression and anxiety in caregivers of hospice cancer patients. We seek to use input from hospice social workers and state hospice association leaders to develop and test an intervention where the state hospice association facilitates online support groups for caregivers of all cancer patients enrolled in a hospice belonging to their association.
