The Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis is a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship. Our goal is to offer high quality training in Hospice and Palliative Care to train future leaders in the field. We support trainees through acquisition of clinical competency while providing opportunities for growth in development to launch future careers in academic medicine. Fellows will be eligible to obtain board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the completion of their training.

Trainees work with our highly qualified interdisciplinary team (adult and pediatric), including physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers and chaplains, at world-class health care facilities ( Barnes-Jewish HospitalSt. Louis Children’s Hospital, and Evelyn’s House). We offer our trainees a diverse educational experience, including both outpatient and inpatient clinical teaching, didactic teaching, scholarly project opportunities, resiliency and wellness training.

Our fellowship offers both Pediatric and Adult tracks. We are currently recruiting for our adult and pediatric tracks (one fellow per year).
